The short version

The free extension collects nothing — everything runs on your machine. WebShell Pro needs the minimum required to sell and operate it: your email (from the purchase) and encrypted relay connections. No analytics, no ads, no selling of data — anywhere.

The free extension

Everything runs locally. Commands execute inside your browser; the free extension makes no network requests of its own and has no servers.
No tracking. No analytics, telemetry, advertising or third-party code of any kind.
No account. No sign-up, login or personal information.
Extracted data stays yours. CSV/JSON files are saved straight to your computer through the browser's download mechanism.

WebShell Pro

Payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record, under Paddle's privacy policy. We never see your card details. From a purchase we receive your email address and subscription status.
Your license is a signed token containing your email and plan. It is stored in your browser (including your browser's own sync, so it follows your profile) and is presented to our servers to validate Pro access and renew itself.
The ssh relay carries your session as an end-to-end encrypted stream — SSH encryption happens in your browser, so the relay cannot read your passwords, keys or session content. We see connection metadata only (destination host and port, license email, timestamps), kept briefly in operational logs for reliability and abuse prevention.
The license server talks to Paddle to check your purchase and issues license tokens; it stores no customer database.

Your rights

Write to support@web-shell.app to access or delete what we hold about you (your purchase records live with Paddle; our own servers keep only short-lived operational logs).
